NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda addressed the Information Officers of Electric Cooperatives from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao at the 2023 NEA-EC Communicators Seminar-Workshop.
The NEA Chief reminded them of how important their role is in promoting the electrification programs of the government. He encouraged them to be more proactive in sharing the good news of how rural electrification drives the country's economic growth.
"Information is power. Being the Information and Communication Officers, you will be my sergeant at arms in your respective electric cooperatives. There are a lot of things to be made known to the member-consumer-owners especially the programs of NEA, in harmony, in consonance with the programs of your electric cooperatives," the Administrator said in his speech.
During the event, Administrator Almeda administered the oath of the new set of national officers of the League of Electric Cooperatives' Information and Communication Officers Nationwide (LEXICON), and the current regional officers of the said organization.
